Awning always wet

Am I the only one who always has a wet awning after it hasn't been used for a while? Every time I unroll it there is water on the underside. Is there another type of material out there other than vinyl that won't hold water? We bought the trailer used a few years ago and the underside was stained then. It's not terrible now but it's not getting any better. Thanks!

Awning always wet

I assume itís white? Mine is always wet too. I just figure itís the nature of the beast. I bought some pvc insulation wrap pieces, but I have never installed them.

On my old unit I used some cleaner w/bleach sprayed down. Let sit a bit and used a swiffer mop and went over. Then rinsed well. Clean as new.

New unit is black so I donít see much.

Btw. Some people say donít use bleach. Use at your own decision.

I believe it just moisture that collects from rain and if your not unrolling it, it never gets to dry out. Very typical.

I use Camco Wash and Wax, available from amazon and Walmart for about $5 to wash both the camper, roof and the awning with a medium stiff brush on a telescoping handle. Mild pressure and it cleans up nicely. I do my camper once in the spring and once in the fall.

Thats a common problem unless your awning has a cover. What you can do is block the slot exposed on the roller at each end thats how the water enters. ...
