Awning Channel Cord

The awning cord that holds the seam in the top channel is a little shorter than my awning (Dometic 9100 Power Awning). As a result, the rearmost 8 inches flap in the breeze when opened. Does anyone know the diameter of that cord that slides into the channel (inside the awning flap)?
It looks like it's 1/4 or 3/8 inch.
