Awning Issue

Hello, I just uncovered our 2016 forest river for our first camping trip of the season, replaced the battery, it was a goner, wouldn’t hold a charge. Trying to get everything ready and power awning will not extend nor retract.

When I click the button on the remote, I can hear a clicking noise coming from what seams to be around the fresh water water pump (some fuses and relays there too). I checked the fuse there and fuse is not blown.

Anyone have any suggestions to try? Was working fine when we covered it for winter. Going camping this weekend and would love to have this awning working for the trip!

How did you check the fuse?

Use a NON LED test light or just pull it and put in a known good fuse.

I used a multimeter and checked the fuse for continuity.

since you have a multi-meter, check the wiring at the awning motor wires ( at the awning roller) for 12V when you do the switch... trace the wire back from there. If you have 12V at the awning motor, then possibly the motor has gone bad. Recent thread on other awning motors with water intrusion knocked it out.
