Awning mystery

My awing will not work with the inside toggle switch but works with the remote. I have checked the connections and get no current to the switch I removed the panel and seen no loose wiring or breaks? Any thoughts.

Switch could be broken internally. Contacts not making connection. If you have a multimeter you could check if the switch is working or not. Would give you an answer if you just need to replace the switch.

If you have no current to the switch, there is a broken/cut/shorted wire somewhere between the switch and it's power source. Power source could be the 12v fuse box or it could be tapped into another 12v wire somewhere. Until you get measureable power to the switch you can't really determine if it's also bad or not.

If you have no power to the switch, the problem isn't the switch (as was suggested) but rather no power from whatever FEEDS the switch. (as was also suggested)

On most of these units that operate via a switch and a remote, there is usually a bank of relays somewhere (usually hidden) that control the separate current feed to both the remote and the switch.

If you have a multimeter and know how to use it, you can do some simple troubleshooting tests on those relays and trace the source of current throughout the circuitry.

On some units if you open the awning with the remote, you need to close it with the remote.
