Awning pull down strap caught up in awning, cannot roll back down

Just got this trailer and rolled awning down fine, but didn't pay attention rolling it up. First the strap started getting caught in the axle, so I managed to reach up and flip the pull down lever and roll it back enough to un tangle the strap but as it rolled back up it all stayed on that one end and got swallowed up into the awning, so I can't grab the strap to pull it back down. Tried just pulling on the cylinder itself but can't get it to move. Is there a way to unroll it so I can retrieve my strap and roll it up properly?

It's a 2004 Wildcat if that makes any difference, but most of these awnings look the same.

If the switch is flipped the right way, you should easily be able to use a ladder and unroll it by hand.

I got it. I couldn't pull it down, turned out the left arm was a bit hung up, but I managed to wrap another strap around the end of the cylinder where there was about an inch and half of space and got it to unroll. Thanks for your input.
