Awning Supports Hurt :-)
Anyone have any good suggestions to avoid running into the awning supports. I'm tall, and usually wear a hat; so far they are not in my line of sight as I walk around. This is before my first beer 😬

What I enjoy seeing and I don't see if often but when folks just start ducking to avoid hitting it and it just becomes a natural reaction.....but when the awning isn't down and they walk in that direction and they duck.....to avoid nothing. Now that's funny.
I'm guilty of doing it one or twice.

As a VERY last resort, you could look where you're walking?

Use it as a clothes line to dry the kids pool towels? Most common is cut open a pool noodle. It will make it more visible and pad it all at the same time.

The awning is deployed when the supports are in range - lol. Will look into making some side curtains that zip over the supports. Might be nice looking too...

We have an electric awning now, so they're way up high...but our old Bounder had permanent dents in the awning rods from me walking into them. I even broke the nose-bridge of a pair of glasses. Embrace the pain...it'll make for a great excuse for forgetting stuff later on up the road.

Pool noodles work great but don't look so good. The DW, fashion diva that she is , found some hanging lanterns, so I drilled a couple of holes in the support frame and hang them with S hooks (2 per support). Problem solved! (Oh, and they provide nice ambiant lighting at night as well )
