Banged It Good!

My TT is a FR Sierra T-291RL with a 20' Carefree Awning. When backing into a tight storage spot last Fall, the back end of my awning contacted one of the posts on the shed and I ended up pushing the awning forward about 18". This of course pulled out the bracekt screws at the back and busted a couple of parts. The biggest problem is that it also damaged the top rail that the awning slides into on the trailer. I can't see it being repaired, and have no idea if it can even be replaced. I don't even know what to actually call it.

This 'rail' is attached to the trailer...not the awning.

Any help out there? Can this top 'rail' be replaced and what is it actually called?

The awning rail can be replaced and is not that big of a deal. Here is a link where you can buy them. I'm sure there are other places as well.

This is a relatively easy fix for a good RV repair shop. The channel/gutter that the awning
slides into is screwed to the top side wall of the trailer. The screws are hidden but they
are there and can be removed. Awning parts can be bought as well.
Now is a good time to get it fixed while the shops are on winter slow mode..... As soon
as we get a couple warm days they will be hopping!
