Bedroom escape window won't open

This is my second trip with the new trailer and I wanted to open the window to get some cross ventalation but I couldn't open it. I called the dealer and was told that they aren't made to open that it didn't have a regular hinge. The last 2 trailers had windows that opened. So this seem strange especially since the window has a screen inside. Has anyone ever heard of this. I had gotten the Dynatrain coating on the trailer and I'm wondering if some of the coating is keeping it from opening. Anyone ever heard of this?

Yes, I have heard of this. A lot of escape windows are push out, not hinged. I wouldn't want mine hinged. Just want a big hole to get out and no obstructions, like a window, in my way.

We had issues opening ours it is hinged but we thought it was because it hasn't been opened I a while. But we had issues opening it again last night it seems to get sticky

Can you post picture of inside? I am wondering if or is like mine. I have a lever on the inside you push down and it pushes out for about 8 inches.

Had issues opening our two escape windows on our 8289 WS first time as well but they are fully functional now. Tolerance was too tight where the locking lever is so the windows wouldn't close. Removed screen and did a little touch up will a small file to increase the depth of the notch and all is good. Cross breeze is nice.
