Best awning maintenance ever

Arrived at our favorite campground yesterday but didn't open awning till today, and as expected the awning looks brand new!
The secret is Wet & Forget. I cleaned the awning 2 years ago and sprayed with W & F then. Today it is still pristine. I highly recommend this product.

Took a look on Amazon & it states only solid, no canvas use.... is your awning a single light color or a design? Any problems with weakening / leaking of the canvas? Would love to find something effective as mildew is a huge issue here in sunny FL when the canvas is rolled up

What material is your awning: Canvas or vinyl?

The awning isn't canvas I'm guessing it's a vinyl material. It is solid white underneath and the top is white and green in a stripe pattern. I can let you know what the make is when we return to campground. I've used this product for 3 years (re-treated last year) and haven't noticed any ill side effects.

We use this stuff on our roof tiles. Very happy with it. Never thought about putting it on the awning. Thanks for the tip. Keeping an awning in good shape here in humid, wet Florida is a challenge. We have bought it at BJ's and at Ace Hardware.

I have used it on my composite Timber Tech deck on my house. It said it might take 6 months for the mildew to go away. Actually it worked faster. But there is no scrubbing. U just wet the surface and let it dry. The instructions said to do it on an overcast day when no rain is coming. I never thought about using it on the awning but it makes sense. Did u spray it on your awning and then let it dry?? I would wonder what would happen if u would roll up the awning when wet with this stuff. Probably not a good idea. My instructions said rain will clean my deck after I spray the Wet & Forget on it. If my memory serves me correctly.

According to their web site, this is available at Lowe's and Rural King stores in our area. Thanks for the great idea.

If that question was for me about which wet and dry I used, I did not know there were different ones. I used the one for composite decking on my home deck.

I ordered it online from Amazon.com I think. I live so far out here they have to ship in sunshine. Nothing like this in any store around here. But there are not many stores around here.

If it was the one for composite decking, I would think it was the Outdoor version.

According to their web site, the Outdoor version is what you use for composite decking.
