Bonking head on awning struts!!!

Grey Wolf 26DBH. When awning extended, and I walk towards the front door, I invariably bump my head (HARD) on the bottom of the front strut holding up the awning. OUCH.

It is like it's invisible or something. Or I'm blind. But it's WAY too low!!!

For now, I've hung a yellow life jacket on the lowest point, so I can better avoid it. I'm VERY tempted to spray paint it BRIGHT ORANGE.

I'm 5'10".........

any ideas????

A small strip of reflective tape maybe? Football helmets are always an option.

Pool noodle cut length-wise? It's be a bright color and would pad it for when you bonk your head again.

You may either need to just cut one slit or actually a chunk out of one, depending on how thick the arms are.

This is a manufacture defect. God made man to not be able to look above chest high..... even when something hits him up the side of the head several times. Does the Forest River owners manual have any instructions on this?

Sounds like the "government" should require a "Warning Sticker".
