Broken crank out window mechanism on a ROO

After arriving at our campground and opening the camper, we found the crank handle on the couch and the arms that hold the window weren't attached to the window. The metal bracket that houses the crank handle is broken as well. The bracket is pop riveted into the frame. Does anyone have any experience with replacinf the handle and arm? I'd put a photo up, But haven't figured out how to do that. Thanks in advance for help/suggestions/advise.

It might help if you posted year and model of Roo, since it's not listed in your profile.
Then those Rockwood owners of that year could be of more help.

Of course I have no idea what type of mechanism you have but assuming similarity, I replace one on my ROCKWOOD. Sent a picture to RW and they sent a new mechanism. With a pop rivet gun it was very easy to do.

Same issue as on this thread;

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ow-133658.html

I had a very hard time finding a replacement. Post #34 on that thread, someone pointed me in the right direction. You have to measure the arms to the window though, they are different sizes.

Broken window torque operator

I had this problem on our rig and found a replacement here:
They make several sizes so you will have to measure your crank. I drilled out the rivets and installed the new crank with 1/2"x10/32" bolts and nuts with nylon inserts. Hope this helps. Good luck.

replacemnt window handle

you could take it to your dealer and have the service dept order the correct part for you and if need be schedule an appointment to have them replace it. if it isn't under warranty expect a charge, but it is worth it to get it fixed. they deserve their pay. our dealership is great at fixing things
