I was just excited to get free awning fabric & am now looking for a free install.

I have a 2012 Tracer with the same problem. Did you deal with Dometic directly or dealer assist?

I did both. The dealer warranty manager tried but got a denied claim. Then I went direct to Dometic with the following email,

Message: SunChaser Serial # 21592389 has developed 4 bubbles in the middle of the awning. Is there any fix to this problem or steps that I should have taken to prevent it?

They then asked for pictures of the bubbles & a picture of the Dometic lable on the roller bar.

Thanks, I'll try the same. I noticed my bubbles last week and wasn't sure what to do.

It was said correctly; you interpreted it incorrectly.

The awning material has two "rail screws" that go into the top of the rail to keep it from sliding; similar to the pop rivets some folks put in the roller.

And yes, the pop rivets need to be drilled out and replaced on assembly.

Your picture is correct that is not WALL RAIL SCREWS, they are fabric set screws. No argument here just post correctly of what they are called....
