Just my luck, my awning had difficulty extending and retracting last week on my 2013 Windjammer made in January, 2013. That's just out of the recall date range and so's my serial number30195xxx.
After I retracted it for a rainstorm, it suddenly had movement difficulty the next time. The motor would barely turn either way and my friends had to pull/push the struts to slowly deploy/retract the awning. The fabric appeared to be spooling out/in evenly with their help on both sides.
My dealer (RVstation, Bryan, TX) thinks it may be a voltage issue since I said the motor would still barely turn enough for me to retract it with my friends help. I was on shore power, and power slides, power stabilizers and power jack all behaved as usual on 12 volts. Maybe it's the awning switch.
I took it to my dealer today because I didn't want to chance opening it again to recheck voltage at the connector on the strut.
So, I guess I don't get to be on a fast-track like you unlucky (but really lucky) recall guys. No clue if it's just in some kind of bind, bad motor, bad switch, bad wire, a one-time fluke... never thought my first big issue would be a Dometic product.
