Got to love the bit about not having your dealer do the work, you have to do it so they don't have to pay for it, bonus for the guy who thought this one up.

Yes talked to a very nice lady the mumber we called was 800-837-2505 it was on the recall notice.

What a *nice* young lady! She didn't need my VIN number. I explained that I did the 9:00 test and gave her my key code.

BTW she added that with the cylinder comes a "change out key" that makes it very simple to change it our yourself. Also comes with very simple and easy instructions, and the box to return the defective one.

LOL they're located in Johnson City, TN, and we joked that we'd probably pass our new part in transit as we travel to Pigeon Forge.

Finally took time to dig into this and discovered some interesting facts. The door lock I had that jammed on me with the piece broken off in the mechanism was actually a GLOBAL LINK G339 lock. The lock my dealer installed is a FIC lock covered under the recall. HF 304.

The back door which has the original lock(Global link) has been sticky but no failure yet. The new lock(FIC) on the front door I just replaced is working perfect. Go figure.

just got my replacement sets and keys in the mail last night when I got home. 5 minutes to change them out with their tool (blue key) and insert the new ones with white litheum grease sprayed into the tumblers for lub.
2 minutes was to find my glasses.

Not to resurrect an old thread, But just got my locks a couple days ago, and having 2 doors on my trailer, I requested they send me the same lock code as the other door, and they did!

Were both affected by the recall? I have one door that's affected and one that's not. I haven't bothered replacing them yet since it's not a problem for us.
