Drawer removal help

The drawer latches on our '14 2500TS are weak, and have several times failed with just normal pavement jostling. I want to replace them all, but need to get the drawers out to have room to work. Here's a photo (I hope). Any idea on how to remove these things? Thanks...

As I remember, the black plastic "pointer" must be moved - maybe up on one side, down on the other. It's been too long!

Yes. Have to hold them up/down as you slide the drawer out.

Yes, thanks. That worked. Now to try to get updated latches. Will go to a cabinet shop with that.

I had a problem with a couple of drawers coming open on a trip. I removed the drawer and figured out what was holding it closed, a small dent at the end of the guide if I remember right, it'd been over a year. I increased the dent some with long nose pliers, doesn't take much. If you go too far with the dent it makes the drawer too hard to open, ask me how I know. A little tweaking and all works well and stays closed while traveling.

There is an adjustment on the spring clips that hold the drawers closed. Up on one side down on the other. A set screw adjusts the spring. That may work as well. The spring won't come out unless clip is removed from slider.

I have had the bottom of two drawers fall out. One glad a heavy pan, understandable the other just knives, cooking tools, etc. not a lot of weight. My plan is to female be and disassemble and glue the, perhaps how it should have been done me to n the first place. Haven't had that problem on my boat.

There are drawer slides which are made very similar to that one in the photo, BUT--they have an actual catch at the end of the slide so that when the drawer is closed it catches to latch it. These will be sold as "soft close" drawer slides. In my TT kitchen there was a drawer under the counter-top which I suspected this might happen to. Under this drawer was a door which gave access to under the counter storage. I needed extra drawer space there so I made two drawers to mount there and kept the door to hide the drawers. I used the soft close drawer slides on the two new one's and replaced the original drawer's slides with the soft close. So far all is well and the honey-bunny likes them.
