Eeekkk, watch yourself out there.

Excerpt from the RV Travel Newsletter.

"Complaining that his legs felt like spaghetti, Utah resident Gregg Richey had a right to complain. The father of two was putting out his RV's awning near Cedar City, Utah, when lightning hit him, stopping his heart. Richey's father quickly responded, giving chest compressions. When the man regained consciousness, his family transported him to a hospital when cell phones couldn't summon aid. Richey was released after observation."

Now That is a real good reason for having a remote awning actuator, or at least some insulating gloves to wear when setting up your RV in inclement weather.. I'm surprised the chest compressions worked and he didn't need an AED, but whew, that must have been an electrifying experience.

What are you going to say when they ask you why there is a kite and a key attached to the awning?

My in-laws never appreciated the aluminum foil raincoats I got them.

Set that lightening rod on your positive post = direct current (DC) no converter required.

That works, thanks for the tip.

I remember my wife asking me why I didn't care for her family. I asked her how could she say that....and for the record I liked her mother-in-law a lot better than my m-i-l.

I did steal the above from a joke.

Would that be that "trophy wife" you told me about last night?

The same. You must be referring to when I told you that I had me one of those trophy wives.............but it just wasn't for first place.

again, copied from a joke

Garbonz, I apologize for the thread hijack. I have sent you a PM asking if you want me to go ahead and move all these wise cracks. I get to laughing and playing around, and lose sight some times.

hijack away, this is WAAAY to much fun too stop now.. maybe we need a ground rod at every camp sight. I remember when sailing, folks used to hook jumper cables to their rigging and throw it overboard, like that was gonna do anything. Remember the Reverend from caddy shack, when it your time, that'sit.
