Entry Door Deadbolt

I am unable to get the deadbolt to go in to the hole provided in the door frame. I am wondering if the bolt in somehow in the horizontal position in stead of being vertical. I have a 2018 Georgetown GT5 31R5.

Buy some “whiteout” or hobby paint in white. Paint the various parameters of the deadbolt and close the door. Then use your key in an attempt to lock the door. The paint will transfer to whatever parts of the hole in the frame it is touching, then you’ll have an idea how to correct things.

i did what was described above but used lipstick. the deadbolt made a mark where it couldn't clear the frame which is aluminum. took a file and filed out the hole in the frame and all is well now.
