Well it came today, looks brand new. No weathering or faded paint. And they sent it by mail only took 1 day . And total price was 90.00. Now it's going to rain all weekend so I guess I will install it next weekend

We love a happy ending AND a frugal solution to an expensive problem.
Thanks for all the details and final follow up.
I'm making this thread sticky for future reference.
Good job!

Did you replace it while it was open or closed?

Mine died last month while trying to close it before a storm hit. I was able to persuade it in. I think my mistake was storing it nose down this past winter rather than tail down. Inside the awning tube there was corrosion and some crude. The prices for these motors are crazy. I saw one on ebay for $800!
Today I pulled mine off and opened up the housing. I removed screws from each end but unfortunately the motor can't be dismantled. The best I could do was spraying contact cleaner in through the screw holes and wire brushing the corrosion off. I saved $200 for now but don't expect the repair to last long.
