Had a hole the same size and location as yours on our new trailer. Dealer (Camping World) has ordered a replacement under warranty.

There is a product called Tear-Aid that I swear by, got it from
It's so strong you can not even poke a hole in it with an ink pen. I repaired a section of my slide out awning that was starting to tear at the seam and it's holding up great!

The fabric on my Carefree of Colorado electric awning seems so flimsy that it's almost like a sheet of thin plastic. Because it doesn't lower down to be wiped off like my old manual awning did, we've begun wiping it off with a
Swiffer as we roll it up. Afraid that we'll roll up a stick in there and punch a hole in it. We already found one place with a "dent" that I suspect was caused by a foreign object being rolled up in there.

Even if you don't park under trees, there's a good chance that sticks and pieces of bark can be blown onto the awning when it's windy.

Sorry for not updating this. My amazing dealer, over 2000 miles away, sent me a new awning. I was going to hang onto it until the spring before I attempt to install it! Thanks for the replies, hopefully someone can use this information in the future!
