How do I get wrinkles out of my awning?

I have a 19' awning that is wrinkled in the top third next to the trailer. I have taken the screw out of the awning rail and pulled it from from both sides but the wrinkles are still there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also. how do I get the title of my post to be in bold print?

Lots of lotion!! LOL..JK, never had that problem, hopefully it is not permanent

The awning is usually set onto the coach but slides in an out along the tube. The fabric may have shifted. If so, I would unroll the awning and carefully pull to one side or the other to align it so it's straight.

Mine gets wrinkled but they go away after leaving it out on a hot sunny day

I agree with the m109rider i had the problem and just extended the awning out to the limit in the hot sun and it did the trick possibly you
are you winding it up while it is still damp and it is sticking as you roll it up ?

After reading my reply, it wasn't clear that I would work with the TUBE end of the awning. It is this end that floats. As you already mentioned, the upper end uses a set screw. Leave it in place and work with the end that caused the problem.

Extend the awning, let it set in the sun to warm, after about an hour, on the tube end, measure the distance from a common point to the edge of the awning material. Center the material on the tube. I drill a hole in the hem and install a 3/16" large head pop rivet in each end to make it stay centered. Have never had a problem with them wrinkling again.
