1. Most likely the lock latch on the inside of the door has too much pressure on it which prevents it from moving easily.
2. Second most likely is a lock which has some corrosion in it. Spry with any spray liquid lubricant, and keep trying until the lock will unlock.
3. Combination of #1 & #2.
