Just opened trailer and no power to awning

Hi all...been reading for a year or so now but now I am in need of some info please. Just opened from the winter and electric awning will not extend. No sound at all. I have checked all my fuses with a tester and all are fine. I have looked behind switch panel..all seems fine. But somewhere I am dropping power? Or is it the motor? Is there a way to test power at the switch? Will I get lucky and open the outside cap and see the problem? Have not had time to look yet but thats next wknds project. Any help or links to a video woyld be much appreciated. Its a Wildwood 187RB. 2017

Thanks

Jeff

Are you plugged in to 110vAC power? Have you tested your battery? Your awning gets its power from the battery. It could be stone-cold dead from the winter.

I ALL power is off it's either dead battery or the main disconnect switch is off.

If power returns when you plug in one of these is most likely the cause.

Do you have a multimeter? I don't know which switches you have but I'd pull and see if you can check to see if there is 12v at the switch and at the motor.

Most awnings have an inline fuse close to where the power lead connects to battery power. On my TT it's alongside the A-Frame at the front that forms the "tongue". Right next to the resettable
circuit breaker.

After testing all fuses including my inline fuses I researched how to manually open and close my make of awnong on youtube. Found a video and got my drill and a 7/16 socket and manually opened it 2 inches. I stopped after seeing lots of water, it was wrapped soaked. I just had to try the power button again and yes! It worked! The motor just wasn't strong enough to free it from its wet/tight position. Good luck with yours. Ty
