Lci awning led lights

Just bought a new 2016 Shasta 185 Flyte FQ. It has the power awning with the LED light strip attached to the underside of the awning. About a 12" section of the light are out and the dealer said they ordered a new light strip and would just send it to me since I live about 60 miles away. They said it was a easy replace, just splice in the new strip to exhisting wires. I was talking to one of the tech's while salesman was at parts dept ordering strip and tech said they have lotts of problems with the factory led strips and told me if it was him he'd order a better led strip off eBay and install it instead. Anyone had any idea of a good 12' led light strip I can use for a replacement. I assume it is 12 volt ? Thanks for any replies.

The Forest River exterior sealed LED are good.
They all come from China no matter where or what you buy.
I would let them order from FR and install and don't worry about it.
Good luck.

If it is "new".... why not get FR to replace it under warranty????

That way, if they F it up...they will make sure that it is done "correctly and working" before you pick it up. Maybe you will have some other things that need fixing/replacing and can get it all done.

If you go to replace it all, it could take hours and might have loads of problems. Let FR/dealer handle the stress.

If you do the replacement and it doesn't work or fails after some time, you are on your own.

Food for thought.
