Lippert factory installed awning install question

Just realized this when washing unit this past weekend. I don't now if this is typical or not... Probable easiest to check out picture attached.
As installed awning roll is higher than mounting rail, that is allowing water to pond in its valley. My thought is water pounding is bad enough, but being in Pa that water would freeze in winter, that will certainly create issiues. Or at least that's my concern. Anyone else have this type of situation? Note dropping at dealer end of June, will be running it by them at that point. Just looking for some education for myself, to back up my concerns. I feel like this is fairly standard. My manual awning is similar. Yes it will collect water when level, however even if it froze its not contained so it should pose no real issue.
