Manual Awning leaking where it is connected to trailer

The edging that is under the awning has a joint and water leaks down the side of the trailer and sometimes runs down the underside of the awning and you get dripped on.

I am attaching a photo and hope that you can see it. It is the brown line on the left side of the awning.

Any idea on what I should do to stop it.

I have the exact same issue on my power awning on my 2012 Flagstaff.

I was just going to caulk it when I get a chance.

Couple years back found sewing threads rotting at same area allowing rain to drip pretty steady. Repaired with clear RTV pressed in with finger and wiped smooth.

Like pappcam i have the same issue between my power awning on my 2501ss. It has gotten worse this year. Cleaned really well at end of season last year and let dry. Now it is starting to discolor again. Haven't had the time to get up there and really look at what to do. I assume some type of caulking on the top side between camper and awning is what is needed. May trade the unit before I get to that though...really looking at 5er now

RTV: Room Temperature Vulcanizing (elastomer sealant)

As far as I know: fancy word for specialized caulking like Dicor for example.

Just fixed this on mine...2 sections of gutter are joined right above this seam. I just put a small dab of Dicor in the gutter and smoothed it out with my finger.

Sorry missed your question. RTV is mostly silicon heat resistant (1000F+) and waterproof compound used for window caulking, bathroom sealing and engine gaskets. Used in various thickness it cures and will not bond to itself. Dicor is sell leveling maybe 1/8" thick. Never fully hardens and is perfect for flat sealing. I suggested RTV because it will not remove itself in a tightly wound awning after multiple operations per the photo orig supplied
