Mysterious key?

I need to replace a lost storage door key. If only it were the famous 751......
Sadly, it is not. Stamped on the key is C26261. I have googled the sweet baby Jezzus out of it and no luck. Has anyone ordered such a key?

That is a Camco key number for their CAM44640 lock. Try calling Camco at their NC headquarters to see if you can order one. Number is (800) 334-2004. They may refer you to a local RV dealer, but I would call them first.

If you look at the photo of the keys below (from the e-trailer website), you can see the key number you asked about stamped on the keys.

I wish I could thank you twice! I assumed it was from Lippert. The entertainment center hatch, doors and fuel station are all Lippert components. This one and the outside shower are Camco?!? Is this just as common as the 751 key? I'm thinking of going with the round locks for simplicity. They are not any more secure but it would be nice to have one key for all the hatches. They may even be able to key it to my existing round key for my ramp door and tongue locks.

If you are not the original owner of your unit, the prior owner may have changed it. Either to get away from the 751 universal key or for some other reason. Also if it's locked and you can't open it to change, those locks are easy to pick. Any decent locksmith can open it in about 2 seconds. I could do it with 2 Gem clips (but I've had training as a law enforcement officer - but if you just need to open it to change the lock, check google and save money by not ordering the key for a 1 time use). Another reason to go with the round cylinder locks. But then again, locks are to keep honest people and mostly honest people out.

Could be the PO changed it. I am not the first owner. I have one key that does work so changing the locks would be easy. I just have not yet committed to the $75 switch to barrel keys. Even those are pretty easy to pick, but having one key to operate 6 locks would be nice.

Often times those exterior shower compartments/doors are a product manufactured by CAMCO.

The R/V manufacturer simply installs them and gives you the key that came with the door.
That's why the different key.

Almost every R/V I've owned with an outside shower had a key all of its own.
Same with locking fresh tank fill doors and the like.
It would be nice if the R/V manufacturer took the time to key them all the same but that would cost an extra $1.

Spoke to Camco and etrailer.com about keys. Camco does not offer replacement keys. I figured maybe it was on the retail level so I called etrailer and they said the same thing.
So I guess I am going to pony up in the near future to replace them all. I also found out how to easily key the front and rear entry doors alike. I should be able to trim down to 4 keys for everything- gas cap, sliding door, ramp door/ hitch/ compartment doors and then entry doors.

The funny thing is my shower and fuel dispenser doors are the same.... 751! Same as everyone else's baggage doors. Lol. I suppose it is possible the PO switched them for added security, as minor as it may be.
I cant see it costing them anything but a thought to key them the same. Maybe thinking is too much
