new Geo Pro 19FD + Step Above design problem?

I just got back from my first big trip with it. Overall it went well, but there's one issue - if I have to level the trailer by putting blocks under the left (non-door) side wheel, the screen door won't close.

Even on perfectly level ground and unloaded, the steps just barely go down far enough to close the screen. This iw with the adjustible legs retracted as far as they will go.

It looks like the adjustible legs are just way too long.

Did thye put hte wrong steps on my trailer?

SOLVED - replacement/modified step extensions

I talked the manufacturer MorRyde. and they said it sounded like I needed the step legs that did not take a 90 degree turn. They sent me a set.

They had the same issue, but since they were straight I was able to just 4 inches off the back side. This now allows the steps to go fully down, even if the ground slopes up slightly on that side.

I'm going to communicate this to Forest River - this is really a design flaw.

I had this issue at my last camp site. Legs all the way in. I had to scrape some dirt and gravel away beneath one of the legs so the threshold plate on the steps would lay flat against trailer threshold. Can you take a pic of the new legs they sent?

so all the way in the new legs allow stairs to go lower, and the threshold plate to lay flat? Looks like those legs have a lot more holes for finer adjustments.

Only if I cut off some from the back side, which I did. I started with 3 inches (to the last hole) and may go more.
