Noisey Door Hinges

Have this problem on 2 doors on my 2005 Surveyor hybrid. I tried spraying with a lubricant, but I think the problem is trying to get the lube inside the hinges. These hinges are on the exterior entrance door and the bathroom. Both hinges are somewhat different but yet the same. There similar in that there are plastic-type bushings between each hinge section, so trying to get some lube into the sections seems impossible. Looked at the pins to maybe drive out, but the bottoms appear to have a lip, so that might be hard to do.

Just spray them with WD-40 and open and close them while spraying inside the upper crack of the hindge. It will get into it.

That may work, but WD-40 is not really a lubricant, although most people use it for one. (it stands for Water Displacement formula number 40, which it was designed to displace water).

Kind of like Duct Tape works on everything but duct work. There are better lube out there, but I wouldn't use an aerosol one. Try something like the old 3-in-one oil, and let it slowly sink in while operating the door.

Windrider is right!! WD40 it helps things from rusting, but attracts dust, grime and in the long run causes more problems. Use Tri flow or something like that.

I use dry film lube on everything that squeaks.

try spraying pledge furniture polish, an old carpenter showed me this trick and it seems to last a long time

Spray it on and forget about it. Works like a charm. I use it on everything. Locks won't freeze in the winter etc.

The bathroom door hinges are designed as a rolled hinge. So there is a very small opening where I had no success in getting lubricant thru. The exterior door has aluminum hinges that are not rolled. They are a solid piece with no easy way to get lubricant inside it.
