Norcold Door Sag

Hi all, we just returned from our maiden voyage with our new 2012 V-Lite 26WRB where we noticed that the fridge door is slightly out of square. To make it worse when we add any weight to the door shelves it sagged even more to the point of having to lift the door slightly to even open it. Is there any simple adjustment that can be made so I don't have to worry about running over to the dealer?

So I take it there's no tricks to leveling the door, or it must not be a common problem.

I havent seen many threads on a sagging door -

I would think there would be some sort of an adjustment for it - best bet would be to get your paperwork out and look up the phone # to Norcold support

Is it the door or the plastic trim? I thought we had broken the door because it would not close. Turned out the bottom trim piece is just pressed on and it had come loose on one end. It looked "crooked" because one side was lower than the other.

No its the door, it's clearly low by the handle by about 3/16th of an inch. My plastic trim has a couple of screws holding it in on the bottom.

I also pulled a couple of the hing screws out to see if there's any play but there isn't. I could use a drill to open the hole's on the hing a bit to allow some adjustment but only want to do that as a last resort.

It would be "back to the dealer" if it was my 2012.

X2 or call the manufacture to see if they can send you the parts - if you are a handy person

i would take it back to the dealer also. on the dometic, there is a plastic spacer washer that lifts the door at the bottom. i left it off when i installed a new frig in the old trailer and the door would strike the bottom of the frig. thought it was sagging until i took a closer look and discovered i had not put that spacer in.

I ended up going to the local hardware store as it's closer to me than my dealer and picked up a nylon washer that did the trick... thanks for all the help!!
