Outside window shades

I have been thinking about getting the sun shades that mount outside the camper above the windows and I have had a couple people tell me they are not worth the money and I have had some that say they love them anyone have any on there campers?

I bought window awnings for the two side windows I bought full view awnings from Shadepro they let some sun light in and I can see through them. I think the help keep the rv cooler.
