The fabric itself is an average cost of $170. Range is $100 (sale) to $225 for an 18' awning. I have done it myself (with a helper) and it's not that bad.
If you hire it out, it's whatever they charge hourly, and I would think it would be an hour. Hourly cost around here is $75 to $150 per hour.
So do it yourself for around a $170, have someone else do it for twice that, is my estimate.

I use bleach on my awnings every spring. Spray on undiluted, rinse off in a couple of minutes. Also a pressure spray, on lowest pressure, dose good job.
Had unit for 5 years, awnings still in good shape.

Ive had good luck with bleach too. I dont use it full strength though, I dilute it 50/50 with water in a garden sprayer. I spray the under side of the awning, roll it up and wait an hour or two. Then I unroll it and rinse it with a hose. Most of the time I dont have to scrub it at all. Every once in a while, I'll get a stubborn spot that I'll have to scrub with a push broom. Ive never had any fading with the awning, or problems with the side of the camper, but I try to keep it off the camper.

Whatever you use, it can't be sticky. You'll either be unable to unroll the awning, or it will pull itself apart at each layer. The best prevention trick is to use a protective cover when stored, and to periodically unroll it and let it dry after driving in the rain. Try never to roll it up wet.

Wet & Forget! It works with no hassle whatsoever. A gallon is about $30 but cuts 5:1 for six galloons of cleaner. Use a pump sprayer and do the top and underneath. Let it dry and forget about it. When it rains, it will activate the chemicals and will clean the awning. for underneath. spray it with plain water after letting it dry. The chemicals will regenerate every time it rains.

I also use it on my rubber roof. Completely cleaned it. Have not been up there for over a year now.

After trying many cleaners, someone on this forum recommended a product called Zep. Worked great. Got 95%+ of the stains off. Left the stains from a dead bug and leaf but no more mildew.
