Pollen stains inside of awning ? Ideas ?

Awning stained on the inside with pollen yellow...

Went camping a few weeks ago and trees were dumping these yellow thingies, the car, trailer were covered - I could not wassh the awning before rolling it and now it is stained inside only - the outside is OK - with these pretty yellow large stains - I tried Simple Green, tried Magic Erasers, none of those worked. Ideas, I am afraig of using Chlorox, should I give it a shot.

I read of Awesome - but I've never seen it in the Toronto area.

Mold Armor worked on my stained awning, just don't get it on your clothes.

When I have a stain on my awning (pollen) I use 1 part Clorox to six parts water and automotive soap. Apply with RV scrub brush, let sit for 5 Min's, rinse good. If necessary apply again.

I use a diluted Tilex solution. Wet down underside of awning, apply cleaner, swish around a little with a brush just to distribute, roll up awning, let sit while you enjoy your favorite beverage. When done, unroll (about 5 minutes) and rinse. Just make sure you wear something that you don't mind getting spotted from "drippings". This works well for me- got rid of nasty stains, etc.

X2 for Shawomet's way. soak the underside with your favorite cleaning solution, with bleach and/or mildew remover, roll it up, that way it wets both sides, and leave it alone for 10 minutes; then open it up and rinse thoroughly. You can scrub stubborn stains with an extended brush, if necessary. Wal Mart makes an awning cleaner solution I have seen in their RV department, but I haven't tried it as of yet. Randy
