Poor mans Awning Remote Help

Turbs, OC and anyone else that can help. My RM66 Remote control blew up because the shop hooked up my battery reverse polarity, so I need to buy another one but they are no longer selling this one. Has anyone ordered a different type from EBAY. Your help is greatly appreciated. I found one but it didnt say momentary.

That is another one that I seen, I have another remote like that one, and it is a PITA, My awning lights use it and it is a pain always pulling up the antenna. I was looking for a keyfob thpe of remote, but if that is all I can get, then it will have to do.

Turbs, they just responded to my question here is what they had to say

hi, we are moving to a upgrade version of this RM66 and the new version is RM800, which has a higher amp rated relays, a limit switch for protecting runaway motor and a protection in case the power polarity is reversed or shorted.
here is the item number: 351291921032, check it out, if you have any question, let me know,

regards

Looks like it has everything that we were talking about when we originally purchased ours. I bought one, I will let you know.

This remote sure is different from the RM66 . When my awning motor gets here, I'm going to bench test this remote, the RM800, as I already have one. I think the fob that comes with this unit needs an indicator light to let you know that after retracting awning, the motor shuts off with the fobs button. At this point, I think it needs limit switches for in/out to turn motor off... old RM66 you held button down, then released....awning stoped. This new one, RM800, is a one touch control set-up.

Per the instructions the RM800 has a jumper plug inside that needs to be relocated so the unit functions like the RM66( press a button on the remote to activate and when released it is deactivated). Read the instructions that came with the unit. Seems to be a much better unit and can handle more amps.

Bob, you can set the limits, then push the bottom momentarily and it were stop where you have the limits set to. I set mine up this way originally, but I then moved the jumper and set it like the rm66. I also programmed my old RM66 remote to be used with this as well, so now I have 3

I'm sitting here with the unit and my question is about the jumper. Mine came with no paper work, and the fob is confusing at this point as I can't test anything till the other awning motor gets here. I've put 12v direct to the one 's that there and nothing happens, so today I'll be pulling the thing out and see how it's all held together. My awnings rolled up so this ought to be fun.

Looking down inside the unit notice JP2 and it will have pins sticking up. One of the pins may have a small plug on it. That is the jumper plug. Pull the plug up and out then reinsert on the two JP2 pins to short them together.

After the shorting of J2 the 2 remote control arrow buttons will function the same as the RM66 did (press a button and awning rolls, release button and awning stops). The 3rd remote button is not used.
