Power awning

I have a large Dometic power awning on my 2016 Flagstaff. I noticed that it didn't roll all the way in last time I used it. It looks like the fabric on the camper side has moved and if keeping it out of align during retracting. I tried to move it over but it doesn't stay. Just goes back to the same place. On my old camper I had a manual awning on my las5 trailer and it had little screws that ran though the awning and rail to keep it in place. Should my new one?

A member here Oldcoot has recommended doing the addition of a "pin" on several posts. Search for his posts and you will find pictures of his solution.

Yes you should have screws in each end of your slide fabric. I even put them on the slide toppers as well.

There should be 2 screws in the awning rail holding the awning in place. Center the awning material between the arms and install the screws, THEN, deploy the awning and make sure the material is centered on the roller within 1/4" or less and then pop rivet thru the side hem into the awning tube.

I will try to get out of my building and open the awning back up. I tried to move it the other day and didn't have much luck. It moved a little but then slid right back to where it was. I may have to get a some help to pull and hold so it can be attached.
