Power Awning

Hello Gang,

I have a 2014 FR 3170DS. Recently, a tree limb came out and bit me. I now have damage to the power awning. The actual damage is the awning itself, the left and right arms. It seems that the rolling tube, (not sure if that is the name) that the canvas rolls on, seems to be ok. So guess I would need a new canvas, left and right arm. And I notice that the end piece has broke off the arm. This is the piece that connects the arm to the roller.

Has anyone replaced this themselves? If so how hard is it? Where did you get materials?
Or is it better to file a claim?

Thank You very much for the help, and WATCH OUT FOR THOSE TREES!!!

You can replace the parts, but with that much damage it may be less expensive to buy an entire awning and replace the whole thing.

Can you give us the make and model of the awning?

Replacing it (or even those parts) isn't a one person job. I'd say that a good number of people to have would be three. You could get it done with two, but three would make it easier.

maybe just replace the parts... I would not wnat to replace the mounting arms on the side of the trailer for fear I could not get a new one on tight... try this website...

The link Rsdata posted shows the label to be near the end of the roller tube.
