Power awning pauses when in use

A friend of mine has an 09 Bighorn and when he tried to extend or retract the awning, it seems to pause about 1' away from the trailer... It worked good last week, just the few times this past weekend it stopped.. After a little wiggling it, it would work again...
Loose connection? How easy/tough are they to get to? Motor issue?

Wondering any help that I can pass along to him?

The motor on the awning has a recall on it.

The recall isn't going to apply to an 09 unless the awning or motor was replaced more recently.

I thought that recall was on the new units? Where can you find the affected years/models?
