Power awning SLOW...
I have a 2013 grey wolf 26bh TT.Ita has a power awning and is decent speed going out but SO SLOW coming in I mean probably 45 seconds.I don't expect it to fly in rapidly but I've watched videos and its a lot slower(don't know year of the campers in videos if that would even make a difference)A family member has the same TT as me just 2012 and their awning is much faster.I mean mine works it gets in and out but is something wrong here?

Sounds like a weak motor. take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.

Extend it out and make sure it is centered on the roller. I center mine and then pop rivet the hem at both ends to keep it centered.

The tube rotates inside a bearing in the end castings.
Some silicon lube on the shaft; then run it in and out should help.

Could also be that when the awning was installed someone screwed up and didn't put enough turns on the spring that assists the motor in rolling up the awning.

Silicon may not be the best lube. Something with Teflon as the base lube would be better as it will not attract dirt like Silicon can. GT85 and Boeshield T-9 are very good at doing the job.

I think it should be more like 10-15 seconds. Take it back and have it checked.

10-15 seconds is what mine takes. Twice that means something is wrong.

One more thing.two times the only way to get the awning out was to hit retract not extend. This has only happened twice I have no idea what could cause this.

IMO, all the more reason to believe the awning material is not centered on the roller and it is putting all the arms in a bind.

Agree, but only after seeing if the material is centered on the roller. If it is centered I would take it back. If not, I would center it and see if that cured the problem and if it didn't, then back to the dealer.

Thank you.If it is centered on the roller and nothing improves is it a matter of preference? Like no hazard with it because the dealer is two hours away and i didn't plan on taking it to the dealer until the end of next camping season for maintenence.

If it were me and centering the material didn't cure the problem, I would attempt to increase the number of turns on the torsion spring. Consult the manual for doing this as it can be a little dangerous if not done correctly. I would make the torsion spring adjustment with the awning only about a foot from the stow position to minimize the amount of torsion on the spring and make it easier to put another turn or 2 on the spring. With you stating the awning gets stuck in the stow position sometimes, I highly suspect the material is off center.
