Here is how I lock my power awning for transport. It is very simple and effective as it locks the roller and cannot be turned even by the motor.
Simply drilled the end of the roller @ the end of the slot on the motor end and tapped it for a 3/8-16 UNC bolt, made a tab and screwed it into the hole/slot. Made a hook with a turnbuckle and fasten the top hook in the roller tab and the lower hook is under the bottom of the wall support and tighten the turnbuckle. Complete set of pictures @
