RE-STRING D&N Blind

Just finished re-stringing a DAY-NITE blind. I used a much larger string-kit
than was originally in the blind. The string is twice as large in diameter. Was easy to re-string but was a P.I.A adjusting after re-installing. Took twice as long to adjust as it did re-stringing.

Mine went out too. New one is in at rv dealer waiting till end of Oct and camping season. This must be common issue. Did you see the You Tube video on this. I agree bigger strin g would help. Seems there is a direct correllation between how tight the strings are at the anchor point and how long the strings last. When you look at the path the strings take you can see why. Looks like just tight enough so the blinds dont go down by themselves is the ticket.

What DIA string did you use. I just bought some .07 from a window covering place that looks real close to the original.
