Rear Window seal Shrinking

I found an old thread about the rear window seal shrinking, but I am having the exact same problem on my '07 Forester 2941DS, the rear window trim has shrunk to the point that there is a gap between the 2 ends of about 2 inches, the gap was filled with RTV at first, but over a few more years it has shrunk even more, and now won't stay in the corners, I even tried to super glue it.
I finally took it to the dealer to get it replaced, when he ordered a new seal, it came in in less than a week, but now it's been 3 weeks waiting for the right seal.
Why can't I order parts directly from Forest River ,on my own, it's not that hard of a job, but impossible to do without the correct part.
