RockWood 8313ss Awning Lights

Has anyone installed led light strips on there awning and if you did how did you wire them to the battery and where did you put the switch for the lights if you did not install them with a remote. Because I'm looking to install these lights but don't know where to run the wires once I have them up and I don't want to have to plug them in every time I set up camp. Like the picture only a rockwood 8313ss

Add a dusk to dawn switch and they will come on automatically. Turn the manual switch off when traveling. I wired mine into the step light with a D to D switch and just leave it on.
