RPT178 Main Door Lock

Hello, new to the Forum.

Have a 2014 Hood River Edition that the main door will open by itself, do not know if the heat is causing expansion or? Have removed batteries and both locks have been keyed in the lock position. Have had this happen several times, and a couple of times over last summer, I had this happen when I had the RPOD parked at a vacation spot....had to rush up to Show-low. Fortunately, nothing was missing, and I have the unit back home here in Tucson. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

So you have both locks in the locked position and you give a tug on the handle and the for opens?

The door can open that way, or sometimes it will open by it self, the doors are in the locked position, and the batteries for the door code have been removed. It may be getting hot inside, and expansion is happening. Who knows?

I would move the door striker out just a touch and see if you can tug it open. Do it until you feel that it is secure. Then take a hose and spray(not stream) around the door and make sure water is not getting in.
