Safelite repair to Berk windshield at CG

SAFELITE IS VERY RV FRIENDLY. Finally happened traveling W on I-90 to Canandaigua NY yesterday. A pickup towing a utility trailer (like for lawn maintenance) pulled in front of us and threw numerous stones at us. So loud we thought it was gunshots. Then one hit the windshield just right and there it was - a spider like chip about size of a quarter. Fortunately no damage to front of the Berkshire. Got to CG in NY & called Safelite. So easy to deal with. Set up appointment for today at the CG we are in for the night in Perrysburg OH. Safelite was on time today, repair took less than 30 mins, and, like their commercial, we paid nothing out of pocket. Wanted to share our good experience.

I didn't want to place a claim for my crack, so it cost me $115...

You have the option of paying "out of pocket" or they will bill your insurance company if you choose. Your insurance company would much rather pay for a repair NOW, instead of a new windshield LATER!

I hade Safelite in Los Angeles come to my campground last month to replace my windshield after a truck kicked up a rock and put a 12" crack in it. It was quick, convenient and approximately $350. with the delivery fee. This was less than my deductible. Unfortunately though, I don't think they did a very good job. I noticed a strange noise while driving this week and realized the rubber seal was loose and sloppy. Now, I need to have it redone.
