Lightbulb Salem 36BHBS Power Awning Removal?

Looking for some instructions on how to remove this thing completely. This will be stationary at our camp and we'll be tacking on a screen porch to the camper like the last one so we don't need the awning right now. Are the power ones as easy to remove as the manual ones?

Not much different except if it's a newer camper, FR used rivets to secure the support arms to the camper. You'll need to deal with the 12VDC wiring too at one of the arms.

It's a 2011 model. I haven't looked at it in depth so far as right now there's about 30" of snow outside, but I'll check on that. Is it as easy as unbolting everything and sliding it out?

Yes, no substantial difference to remove the roller with fabric on it, and unless you have a n "armored" model the fabric slides out of the same track on the camper.

I doubt it is armored. I dont even need to fill the holes. Hopefully this will work out nicely. I'll have to raise the roof of the porch up but that shouldn't be an issue. Once the porch butts up against the camper I put a flashing in the track where the awning was, screw it down to the roof and seal everything up, it works great. Thanks for the info, I'll post more details when I have them this spring.
