Shattered window

While I was preparing our Wildcat for a long winters storage in mid October one of the slide windows "exploded" when I touched it with a soft wash brush. Tempered dark tinted glass with a "gold ray" decal across it blew in and out in slivers leaving a softball hole.
Now after more than a month for special manufacture a new window is scheduled to be installed tomorrow if winter stays away long enough.

Anyone else had this type of breakage? No evidence of projectile, the day blinds shielded inside, weather was October nice, not hot, window was on shady side.
