Skip the bungee

I put a bungee cord in my awning tie down line hoping it would give the line a little flex. I was right. In fact, we got a big gust of wind and the bungee flexed so much it snapped letting my awning arm flip completely back over my roof bending the arm in half. We managed to bend it back and close the awning but now I have to replace the damaged arm. Short story, skip the bungee and just secure your awning without getting fancy.
