Slam Latches On Cargo Doors

I am continually having trouble getting my cargo doors to close. I have to lift the handles on the slam latch in order for the door to close. If I let it slam shut, it won't latch. What is a good lube to spray into the handles so the latches will work on their own?

Thanks.
John

It might not be the latches, eye lube them with anything like WD40, but check your weather seals, I found that stopped mine, corrected that and it's okay now.

It's not the seals. I apply lube to the internal latches by spraying 3-in-1 and that makes them work for about a month. Then it's back to the same problem.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Mine are the same. I use silicone spray on them and the main door latch.

Same experience with my slam latches. Doesn't matter what I lubricate them with, it only lasts a month or so until I have to reapply. I suspect it is due to the relative openness of the latch mechanism.
