Travel with them down in trailer, seems to be cooler inside wth them down. Do not want sun bearing down on furniture causing it to fade. Also travel with roof vents open to allow some of the heat to escape.

I never knew this was an issue. We towed over 20,000 miles in 5 years and never really thought about it. Some would be up and some down and didn't notice a difference.

with the MCD roller shades, we travel with them up as the bar at the bottom really rattles. In the last TT, we had blinds and traveled with them up to keep them from swinging back and forth.

We have the tinted windows so only the day shades go down. We are slowly converting the string shades to house bottom up/top down shades. The seem to work really well even though no strings on the sides to keep them straight.

We have always traveled with our day/night shades in the up position and have never had a prob!em. While parked shades are either down or up depending on time of day. Our coach is now 11 years young.

Up or Down Shades

We always travel with ours down, never a problems with them. Always kept them down when not using as well. We did have to restring after about 5 years, the shades look brand new just the strings were breaking. Easy to do, the place where we ordered the supplies had good instructions and diagrams to follow.

I also have some for sale if anyone is interested. Replaced ours with the slow rise day/night shades.

We always tow and store with them down. Mainly to try and keep the temps in the TT down.
