I have had two motors replaced (under warranty) that I suspect were caused by the switch initially sticking. If there is a fuse, I couldn't find it. I watch to make sure that the switch doesn't stick "again". The dealer said he checked it but found no problem. Something to watch out for though.

Reason

Just another reason why I wish I had the non powered awning.

Fuse

My fuse is in a box right inside the door. Sure will be watching switch closer now.

Was your fuse in the switch box behind switch? I've looked in that box but didn't find anything. Guess it didn't really matter since the motor burned out and the fuse apparently didn't.

Okay, I have a weird question. Does anyone know nwhere the wires are located for the power awning in a Columbus 295, I know behind the switch but I am trying to figure out if where the wires go out to the awning is in =side if the walls or somewhere in a storage compartment because the awning is all the way foreward on the front.

Normally the go through the walls and either up from the bottom or down from the ceiling into the control center.

I am just looking for the easiest place to put this kit. I liked yours how it was in the storage compartment.

Yes mine works good there but alas I had wires available there.
Now doing this I can only use the remote option and not the rocker switch option.
