What kind of awning do I have?

Well my awning support arms bit it in a wind storm earlier this spring. As a result, the little hook clips snapped off where the extension arm clicks/locks into the awning. I'm trying to find parts but have no idea what awning I have. Even worse, when the rv repair place partially unrolled it, they rolled it back up and now the strap is rolled under so I can unroll it!

I have a 2010 Wildwood X-Lite 18BHXL.

Any help, for the part and the unrolling issue, is greatly appreciated!

I can't unroll it to see who the manufacturer is or take a photo of the broken part.

From the distance in your photo, it looks as if it might be an A&E. Try calling Wildwood at (574) 533-5934 and asking for parts and service. Give them the last seven digits of your VIN, found on a sticker on the left (driver's) side of your trailer near the front, and they should be able to tell you what you have.

Got the awning out. It's a domestic. Took pics of the serial number as well as the broken parts. Looks like it will be 2 new extension arms.

I thought that might be the case. As it shows on the label, Dometic makes the A&E System awnings.

Are the parts pretty easy to get and install?

It looks as if the parts should be readily available for your specific model on Dometic's site at https://www.edometic.com/allusr/sp.n...y=9LYSZ8A-NNMU.

As for ease of replacement, I don't know. If you have to work around the roller, the spring tension can be enough to take off a finger, so you'll want to have someone who really knows what he's doing replace the parts.

Thanks Bob. There's an authorized dealer in my town so I'll work with them on ordering the parts. It isn't anywhere near the roller so it should be an easy replacement (I hope!).

Is that the foot at the bottom of the trailer body? Easy fix with a couple pop rivets.
